Meet Me in St. Louis |
A friend's new year's resolution began a year full of adventures and one great idea to remember it all. This is my town. You can always meet me in St. Louis |
So taking this in a different direction, no longer will this be an adventure blog. I’m taking this more in the direction of writing, and just writing to write. I want to take a new subject and write about it. I enjoy writing so why not try to do more of it.
So I’ve been thinking of topics and this first entry for the new year will simply be brain storming…and my rules for brain storming include no crossing out or back spacing…so be afraid.
First impressions, last impressions, silence, phones, phone conversations, length of phone converstations, relationships, lack of relationships, isolation, food, too much food, too little food, horrible food, great food, baking, pies, baking pies, fruit, self-reflection, cats, work, change, unpreparedness, over preparedness, preparing, old jobs, new jobs, new bosses, okcupid, online dating, dating, not dating, single life, positives, negatives, television, loneliness, books, lack of books, lack of motivation, creating motivation, work, decorating, debt, money, people, rude people, courteous people.
That’s what’s on my mind now. That’s what’s on the mind of a 20-something in St. Louis. Come meet me.
D’s Yoga Home. Friday and Saturday. Notice a Pattern?
Places I am going: D’s Yoga Home, Wasabi Sushi Bar, Llewelyn’s for Second Story Hip Hop and The Gramophone for London Calling.
Steffy-B…the instigator to this blog.
I had the idea to start this blog last winter. There’s nothing that looks better in the winter’s night than downtown St. Louis. The air’s clean and the city’s glow has never been clearer. It’s nights like last night’s cloudless sky that inspire me to really put this city on the map and let the world know that St. Louis is more than an arch and baseball. So this is what I’m going to do. Or should I say, what my friends and I will do. Hopefully every weekend we will be out exploring this great city and every weekend I will let you know what great new place we’ve “discovered”. Some may be our usual haunts and hopefully more than some will be new places. St. Louis has been my home for far too long for me to ignore the great places it has to offer. So here, on January 5th we begin. And I hope you all come along for the ride.
